    3. Thanks. Yes this is him - he is living with daughter and son in law as you said. My grandfather was Alec - I have all this. Sarah died shortly after the census was taken - can't find where she is buried. Son in law dies in 1914 and daughter remarries and moves to Oklahoma before 1920 census. I have him back to who I think is him in 1850 census - from there it is a total loss. I am very familiar with daughter and son in law and family - personally knew my great grandmother, Minta/Mintie - she lived to be 99. Joy F. 3. I know very little about this family other than he was my 2nd great grandfather. He was a confederate veteran and received a pension but confederate records virtually tell you nothing - unlike union pension records. He can be found in the census records - can't remember if it was 1870 or 1880 - as Pet Tucker. And I found references in the Mariona Co newspspers to Uncle Pet Tucker. My grandfather always talked about his uncle Dan Tucker - and I thought it might be a son, but all census records show are sons James and Stephen Bent along with daughters Sarah and Minta (my ggrandmother). In the 1850 census Virginia and Presley are living with another couple who I thought might be Virginia's daughter and husband - don't have names at the moment - and I am again assuming Virginia is the mother - she's the right age. Presley is buried in a cemetery in Marion Co, AR - NO dates - just P.B. Tucker. And there is no death certificate in AR - he died supposedly after 1930 but the last I can find in papers is early 1920s and I can't find him in 1930 census. 1920 he is living with son Stephen and wife. Thanks much. Joy F. You can learn a lot if you can find a copy of the Upshur County history book, A Sesquicentennial History, Taylor Publishing Co., Dallas, TX, 1996, pp 345-6. In it you will find an article, SONS OF SIMEON AND NANCY DUNN TUCKER by Huel C. Tucker, "Upshur Co., Texas. There are two or three other articles by other family members also. . Jynelle
