    3. Hello Allison. I need to make more copies of my book so will make one for you. How are you a Tucker? My line goes back to Edward S.Tucker 1777 down thru Charles Carson 1898 (my father). I need to fill in some blanks, too. Maybe we can help each other. It will be at least next week before I can get it done and on it's way. Send me your address, please. 2. Mary Here's most of 1789 Clinton's story: Clinton TUCKER, b 1789 Lincoln Co NC m 1819 Rebecca Munday b 1801 Lincoln Co NC Their children: Susan C. b. 1822 NC Rebecca A b. 1831 AL Mary E. b. 1834 AL Jessee H. b. 1835 Warren Co TN Jane b. 1837 Warren Co TN Clinton Monroe W. b. 1839 Warren Co TN, m. Mary Ann V. Doyle 1867 Perry Co TN 1789 Clinton was a Methodist Episcopal Preacher. He was a circuit rider in NC, then was moved to Limestone Co AL. From there he went Warren Co TN. where he settled at Mt Vernon Methodist church in the western part of Warren Co. I have documentation of this from church records and publications. He is on the 1820 Census in Lincoln Co NC, 1830 Census in Limestone Co AL, 1850 Census in Warren Co TN and the 1870 Census in Warren Co TN . He died about 1872. I have more details, to much to write now but have hit the high spots. Clinton Monroe was my ggrandfather and is supposed to be Native American, at least half. But have no proof of this. His wife Mary Ann Doyle, according to another researcher, goes back to Native American ancestory Thanks for your reply Carol, http://community.webtv.net/carg/MYREALWORK Whatever befalls the earth Befalls the sons of the earth. ~Chief Seattle~

Hi Carol, I believe these Tuckers were all in the same area of middle TN at abt the same time and they are of an age to be siblings and they were all from NC. This is how I keep them grouped togther in my notes. Nothing is sure of course, as I said, just possibilities. I've found a Court case for a George Tucker divorce in TN in 1839. Two women are named in the case. I'm going back to the library tomorrow to do more research. What was the exact area of Warren Co TN your Clinton was in? How far from Sparta, TN? Mary

    2. Mary of Cumberland TN Would you please tell me why you suspect that Clinton Tucker b. 1789, Lincoln Co NC is one of George's children. I feel sure this Clinton was born in North Carolina. I have found him on the census there following his marriage to Rebecca MUNDAY, m 1819 Tryon Co NC with George TUCKER as bondsman. He had a son Clinton Monroe W. TUCKER b. 1839 Warren Co TN, d.1906 Franklin Co TN. After all these years of looking, I sure would like to nail this one down. A question for anyone on this list that would like to answer: If I went to western NC to research this 1789 Clinton TUCKER would I be able to locate the names of his parents and siblings? Or at least would this be a possibility. Thanks for your time. I'm from western KY Carol, http://community.webtv.net/carg/MYREALWORK Whatever befalls the earth Befalls the sons of the earth. ~Chief Seattle~

    1. [TUCKER-L] Mr. Tucker who married Mary "Molly" Ann Britton 1889 - 1910 AR or OK?
    2. I would appreciate any help on finding the Mr. Tucker (first name unknown) who was married to Mary "Molly" Ann Fowler (b. @1855 TX) (1) Meek (2) Thomas (3) Britton after 1889 but Mr. Tucker was dead by 1910 when I located Mary Ann Tucker in Ada, Pontotoc Co., OK., head of house, running a hotel with daughter Fannie and son in law William Talley. I assume Mr. Tucker died in Pontotoc Co. OK. The last I knew of Mary "Molly" Ann prior to 1910 Census was when she married Henry Britton Feb. 21, 1889 Conway Co. AR. I have never located her on the 1900 census. I really need help on this and any help will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. Charlene

    3. Walt, I don't know if our George Tuckers are the same, but the dates could be about right. My GGGG Grandfather, George Tucker died before 4 Mar 1825, when his will was entered for probate. I have a list of 9 children for him, and 8 step-children. My George died in Wilson Co., TN. I don't know when or where he was born. Bill Kerr

Lewis born 1779 m Catherine Fisher Ref: TEXAS SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, VOLUME IV R-Z PAGE 2148 I think some of this information has been updated and this may not all be completely accurate anymore. But, these appear to be the names of his children. Another list (same reference)says he married before Maria Dorthea, and that George Jr. is by this first wife. The list is pretty much the same with a few minor differences. #3 is listed as unknown married to Leonard CAGLE Sr.(this is an additional child not mentioned in the other list. Jacob's wife is given as Magdalene Cagle Peter is listed as married to a Rachel____. There is also listed a John born in 1815 (this is also an additional child not mentioned in the first list). This information is old, so I don't know how complete it is. 2. Wait I'm not sure about children for George TUCKER, but I have this bit of info: Clinton TUCKER b. 1789 Lincoln Co NC. m. Rebecca MUNDAY, George TUCKER was the bondsman in Tryon Co NC. I have been searching for a long time for Clinton's parents. George is a possibility and also there was a Samuel TUCKER on census lists for that are that fits the time frame. Do you have any clues for George's children or the name of his wife.
