Loney, Try out the ideas, and if you just want parts of it I will be happy to help you out. It will probably be about a month before I go to the SLC Library, so we have some time. Let me know. Hi Diane, I think the book is 400/500 pages long. The copy service is a novel idea since it is (right now)primarily the wills in the book that I need. The digital camera is a stroke of genius. I've never tried that but I might borrow a camera and so some experimenting. Great ideas, Diane! Thank you! On Robin Grimes announcement about the reunion of descendents of Reason P. Tucker there is a slight confusion on Ramada Inn. There is no Ramada Inn in Calistoga, but what is being reserved is a roofed seating area (for 60) which is called a ramada. There are motels in Calistoga for those who do not want to camp out at the State Park. Ann Enderlin Another RPT descendant

Diane, Thank you so much! The LDS Film is an option if I can't find the book. Dear Mark, Thank you very, very much! I have sent an email to the people that once had a copy; maybe I will get lucky! I am still trying to find the parents of my William Tucker (my gr-gr-grandfather). I had found some excerpts from the book on the net but still looking for some of the information on Wills that I understand this book contains. Many thanks and good luck! Loney, Do you know how long the book is? If it's not too long, I could copy it for you next time I go to SLC. I live in Utah and go there every couple of months. Or we could check to see if they have a copy service. Another idea would be a digital camera photo of what shows on the microfilm reader. I have heard of folks doing that. A several of the descendants of Reason P. Tucker are putting together a reunion at the Botha-Napa (California) State Park, near where RPT first lived in California. This state park is in Napa Valley wine region and there are restaurants and wineries all around. The closest town, Calistoga, is noted for its hot springs and spas. There are still sites available at the state park for the weekend of the reunion, June 1 and 2. For those of us who like our comforts less rustic we will be gathering at a Ramada Inn (in Calistoga I think). Please get in touch if you are interested. Robin Grimes (s.o. Ok, thanks. Jo
I looked on FamilySearch, and this book is at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. It was published by Gateway Press in 1976, in Baltimore. You could probably call Barnes & Noble or any bookstore with a computer system who could order it for you, or if it is out of print, you can order the film through an LDS Branch Family History Center in your area. The cost is usually about 3 dollars, and some branches have copy machines to copy microfilm. Film # is 1421753, item 3. Hope this helps. Jo, No sorry to say. You got that off of Gary's site and it is totally wrong. This confuses people but after 3 years of asking him to correct it or remove it it is still on there. He just ignores my requests. Pat
Dear Loney, I don't know anything about the book, but I took a look on the net anyway. I found a place that was offering a copy of the book you asked about. (Please see the P. S.) The message is from 1998, so the book is probably sold by now. I've included the email address so that you can ask. Now that I've written this, it occurs to me that it may be that none of this email is news to you. Good luck in your research, Mark Bramlette son of (Alice) Joan Tucker Bramlette, 1911 to 1982, California grandson of John Foster Tucker, 1856 Iowa to 1935 California great-grandson of Stillman Tucker, 1812 Vermont to 1856 Illinois g.g.grandson of Robert Tucker, about 1768 g.g.g.grandson of John Tucker, dates and places unknown P.S. I found several entries by searching on "MESHACK TURNER" "HIS WIFE" SARAH ROBEY TUCKER at www.google.com, where the quotation marks mean that the enclosed two words are supposed to occur next to each other and in that order. If you make a similar search from time to time, you might find the book offered again. Most of the entries show sites where people have used that book for reference. Any of them might help in your research. One of those entries, the following one, offers the book for sale. Claudia, Congratulations on your find!! I am thrilled for you!! You know me, I'm always collecting TUCKER information. I would be thrilled to learn the parents of your Edward TUCKER. Maybe it will lead a lot of us to more finds. Thanks in advance for sharing. After all, that is what it is all about isn't it? Pauline......I'm interested, for I'm trying to find out where my Tuckers came from. My brick wall: David Tucker, Sr. b. 1754 and married Sylvania Perkins b.1757. My link is from his son Mathew Tucker b.1783. who married Sarah Pearson. David Tucker Sr. was born in Halifax Co., North Carolina If you find a link please contact me and I will appreciate any help. We do believe they came from England with maybe Irish background. Thanks....Fran
