Good afternoon, The list has been very quiet recently! Today, while searching my mother-in-law's research and the little bits and pieces of paper that she had collected, I discovered a Tucker marriage with children listed. Although I have yet to find source documentation, she did note that these were Cora's records. Cora Belle ADAMS, b. Sept 13, 1874 in Morehead, KS, daughter of Ralston Waltermire and Parilee Virginia (PLUMER)(BARNARD)ADAMS. Cora m. Nov 9, 1892, Clarence TUCKER, b. Jan. 22, 1872. She d. March 17, 1968. I also have, what appears to be a list of the children. If anyone is researching this line, please let me know. The Adams are my husband's line and Cora was his great aunt. Kathy. I think we have talked before and, in looking for e-mail I see yours. I may have something you might want on Cora Belle. According to Bobby D. Bedford of Missouri, she was a Turner, b 1872, d 1909. She married Elbridge (Eb) Tucker. I also have Clarence Mitchell Tucker who was a biologist in the U of M Columbia and taught in CA for awhile, then went back to Columbia. They built a Tucker Hall in his honor. Also there is a Turner Hall. Don't know who that is for. Is there anything in your list that matches mine? Jan. I am a decendant of the VA Tuckers. How can I get some of your file on the VA Tuckers. I am curious as to where Edward S. Tucker's children all went. He moved his family to MO in 1820 and have no idea where they all are. I would love to learn more about your Lemuel Tucker. My own line of Tuckers were in Johnson/Pulaski Co. IL. This isn't far from White County. What was your Lemuel's wife's name? His children etc? I'm very interested. Joan _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

I am seeking information on Andrew J. Tucker. Middle name may be Jackson. He married M.C. (Mary) HAYDEN in Dent County, MO in May 1880. Shortly afterward they are found on the 1880 Christian Co. MO censu with their daughter, Margaret. He is still in the 1900 and 1910 Christian County census. They are listed as having had 10 children 8 of whom were still living. The children enumerated on these census in addition to Margaret (who was only listed on the 1880 census) are: Lemmie G. age 13 (in 1900 census) (Jan. 1887 birthdate per census) George H. age 10 (born Jan. 1890) Liza A. age 10 (born Jan. 1890--twin to George H. ??) Ethel A. age 06 (born Jun 1893) Lillie E. age 06 (born Jun 1893--twin to Ethel???) Joseph C. age 03 (born August 1896) Lemmie (Lemuel G.) apparently returned to Dent Co. briefly. He was married to a widow whose surname was Gray (I think). She had children by the name of Gray and one by another surname. I think that one was Halbrook, but I'm not sure. Liza A. is probably the Eliza A. Tucker who married William PENNINGTON in Dent Co. MO. I have no information on any of the others. Does anyone know who the parents and siblings of this Andrew were? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Joan _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

Is there any indication that your Andrew was from IL (a census birthplace e.g.)? I don't recognize his name, but my great-grandfather, a Civil War veteran, was Lemuel Tucker of White Co., IL. Could yours be a nephew? Of course, Lemuel may have been a common name in those days. Joan Flatt <[email protected]> wrote: I am seeking information on Andrew J. Tucker. Lemmie G. In 1826 Sophia was not a minor as you said in your post. She was 22 years old if your birth dates for her are right 1804. Her son who had her power of atty did that so he could go to court on her behalf to get the money from her brother who sold the property in NC but probably never paid her the money. I would look in NC for further court action on this and also those counties in TX.There must more on it. Pat.
I am descended from a Joseph TUCKER who immigrated about 1880 from Luxulyan Cornwall England to NE Pennsylvania (Luzerne County, Pittston City) and died in 1905. Joseph TUCKER was born on November 25, 1851 and had two children Joseph H. born 1871 and Annie born 1874 to Amanda Bollen. I don't know if the mother immigrated with the others but Joseph (b. 1851) married Jane Kemp in 1884 in Pittston PA. Joseph TUCKER (b. 1851) and Jane KEMP had several children including William (DOB July 24, 1885), Mabel (DOB 10 August 1887), and Jennie (DOB July 27, 1890). Mabel was my ggrandmother and married John Thomas VIVIAN in Wilkes-barre. Jennie married a Becterly and might have died in childbirth around 1914. If you see any connections would love to hear from you. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - online filing with TurboTax
Does anyone know who the John Tucker in Robertson County TX is in 1850????? In 1857, my ancestor Marcus L. H. Harry (born NC) who lived in Austin County Texas hired an attorney to act for him in recovering and selling land in NC, his mother, Sophia TUCKER Harry, inherited in 1817 when she was a child. This power of attorney was filed in Robertson and Freestone Counties TX, as well as his home county. The only reason I can figure out to file this power of attorney in Robertson County specifying the land his mother inherited in NC was if she has other kin that lived there. In 1850, I find a John Tucker living in Robertson County, 3rd district. He owns the farm but lives with: Head Sammy(?) P Phillips 26 M Farmer (RE: blank) Alabama Harriet " 27 F " John W " 6 M " Nancy " 8/12 F " John Tucker 59 M None 3200 North Carolina John Casey 24 M farmer Alabama Sophia was born 1804 in Lincoln County NC, daughter of John Tucker. who died in Lincoln County NC in 1847. She had a brother named John M Tucker,(born 1809) who lived and died (1878) in Lincoln Co. NC. Her grandfather was also a John Tucker. He died in Lincoln Co. NC in 1800. In the will of Nicholas ILER, he leaves the land to Nicholas Iler TUCKER for Sophia. Nicholas Iler Tucker is Sophia older brother. He sold the land in 1826. Sophia was still a minor. Marcus' father died in TX in 1844 leaving Marcus an orphan. He had an uncle, David Harry, in TX, who was named administrator of the estate. David Harry did nothing and it seems that Marcus was cheated out of any inheritance from his father. The Power of Attorney in 1857 also instructs the attorney to lay claim to any estate of David Harry too. Any help unraveling this would be appriciated. Betty Vaughn
I am looking for information on Grandison Vaughn and his wife Nancy L Tucker who lived and died in Missouri after 1853. Nancy was the daughter of John Tucker of Lincoln County NC. Thanks Betty Vaughn

She's absolutely right. I jumped to a conclusion about the meaning of ramada. Calistoga is a resort town with a number of hotels including spas based on the town's hot springs.
Hello, In the 1787 Rowan County Tax List there is a Robey Tucker listed. He is listed as follows: ONE white male 21-60 FIVE white males under 21 or OVER 60 ONE white female This was on a tax list for the area of Rowan County that later became Iredell. The list heading description is: "A Return of All the Souls Distinguishing the Age, Sex, Bound and Free Belonging to the District of Aeneas Campbell, Capt. of the Second Betalin Commanded by Col. Daveson of Ro(w)an, State of North Carolina, 1 May 1787." I am assuming that the white male 21-60 is Robey himself and that the one white female is probably his wife. I am also assuming that the five white males under 21 or over 60 are proabably all under 21 and that they are probably Robey's sons. Does anyone have the names of these five sons? The next listing is for a Tobias ROBEY. He is also listed with one white male 21-60 and 2 white females. Could this be a relative to Robey and the source of his given name? Also, could this be a relative to Meshack Turner's wife, Sarah Robey Tucker? I am interested in any information that anyone might have. Thanks in advance.
