    2. Patience Northern
    3. Please excuse me for being impertinent. (; But I am going ahead and do it. (: It is your name TennFran. That is Tennessee and Frances? I am asking because of a name in a will that I don't understand. One of the executors was to be Annafnan Tucker. That is why I joined this list to find third person. The husband of Nancy Coomes died and Nancy and Annafnan Tucker was to be joint executors. Nancy was pregnant with "the unborn child," which is mentioned in the will. This was in 1817. My ggreat grandfather James Tucker Coomes was born 1817. He has a daughter Nancy. We are trying to find his parents and also why his name is Tucker. Possibly Nancy was a Tucker. Anyway, If Annafnan (that is the way it is spelled in the record of the will) is a person's name she must have been very helpful to Nancy during the death of her husband, executing the will as well a being a help during the rest of the pregnancy. It looks to me like she may have named her child James Tucker Coomes. I have not been able to find proof of the name of that "unborn child." If I am correct in assuming your name refers to Tennessee and Frances or (excuse me) Francis, then please overlook the above. 3. I have been trying to trace my g.grandmother/g.grandfather. I have been successful in tracing roots for my g.grandfather back to 1725, Essex, England.... however, my g.grandmother eludes me. Any and all assistance would be appreciated. I am 99% sure that this is my g.grandmother. The birthdate of May 1872 matches a 1900 Salt Lake City census found for my g.grandmother/g.grandfather. She married my g.grandfather William EVE. Mary Louisa TUCKER born: 25 May 1872 Dartmouth, Devon, England married: William George EVE I also found this marriage record. They migrated separately, and were married in Salt Lake City, UT. So this is how I'm sure it must be her. Mary Louisa TUCKER Married: William G EVE 22 Sep 1896, Salt Lake, Utah But here's the mystery to me. I found another record showing Mary Louisa TUCKER's birthdate that named her parents as Samuel TUCKER and Margaret QUICK. Although it's the same birthdate, the birthplace Darmouth vs. Stoke Fleming, is different. Mary Louisa TUCKER Birth: 25 May 1872 Stoke Fleming, Devon, England Father: Samuel TUCKER Mother: Margaret QUICK And then I found a marriage record of Samuel and Margaret, but if this is correct, they were married almost 30 years before Mary Louisa TUCKER was born!! That can't be right. Samuel TUCKER Married: Margaret QUICK--- 24 Oct 1844 Stoke Fleming, Devon, England But this is all I can find about the TUCKER side. Is there a census or something that can be looked at for around the time Mary Louisa TUCKER was born, 1872? Also, I know that my g.grandmother went by the name of Lucy, so I don't know if that would be of help. (Although I don't know when she started using that name. It was, however, on the 1900 Salt Lake City census). Thank you for any support. /lisa
