    2. Hello Judy, Have you seen Gary W Tucker's site? http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=gwtucker&id=I8387 I found Jacob and Clary Tucker Baker there. I believe, if I remember right this Tucker line goes back to Francis Tucker b. abt 1653. I descend from Capt Robert Tucker and there is some thought that Robert and Francis might be brothers, but that is only a thought at this time. Wish you luck with the search. Jo Davis Pearson

    1. Unidentified subject!
    2. Joan., I found the divorce in 1867. I also found the article from Holcombs history of Geene Co. But it does not say they were twins.Gives no relationship at all. And only says they escaped. Not where to.So this other researcher must have gotten news articles which are proving difficult for me to find. But I did write to a woman friend of mine in MO who will look thru microfilm of news for me. So it is turning out not to be my Pascal after all but could be sons of George who was in MO. and may be related to another Pascal. So far I have 16 Pascal Tuckers in various states and time frames. Thanks Pat

    3. Hello. In going thru my ei-mails I see you have a John Tucker coming from England. I, too, am looking for a GGGGrandfather from England. His son, Edward Sherrod was born 1777 and, undoutedly had siblings. These Tuckers are hard to make connections with as everyone named their children the same names, just birth dates show you have the right one. I you have a Edward Sherrod in your line, would appreciate talking to you. 3. Pat, I can't say for sure, but I would guess that the information came from Lawrence County. I do know that it was sent to me by a friend who lives in Russelville, AR and he did a little Lawrence Co. sleuthing for me as a return favor since I had done a little sleuthing for him. As I said, I have my "Tucker stuff" boxed up at the moment due to remodling ventures in this household :) I will try to remember to look for the stuff, but you may need to remind me. As to the original newspaper article, you might write to the Greene County,Missouri Hisortical Society. They could probably find the article for you in it's entirety. This does sound very much like your guy doesn't it? If you have a copy of the internet account of this event, you know that this Pascal's twin is said to be named George. Apparently, one of the guys fled to Texas where he changed his name??? This is according to a researcher of the line. I have talked to her on the Tucker genforum. I think her name is Linda Hubbard. At any rate, she is a descendant of one of these gentlemen (the one that went to TX). I will get the information to you as soon as I can. Just remind me. 3. I am looking for a Tucker mentioned in a West Virginia will. I feel sure the name is misspelled unless it is not a name at all. This will mentions Frances Coomes wife and all of their children and the unborn child. So - Frances Coomes must have died somewhat young. I don't know if the Tucker is black or white. It doesn't matter. What I am interested in is the name of the unborn child. The will was written in 1817 and my ggrandfather was born in 1817. I am trying to find his parents. Francis Coomes wife was pregnant when he died and apparantly this person was a great help to her in the funeral arrangements, will distribution and the pregnancy. At least it seems likely and likely that my great grandfather would have been named for him or her. His name is James Tucker Coomes, born in 1817, Maryland. The family was from Maryland, lived in W.Va. and Nancy, his wife must have returned to Maryland. Will of Francis Coomes says: Hardy Co., W.Va. Item #9, (on the backside of the will) I constitute and ordain Annafnan Tucker and my wife Nancy executors and setting aside all other wills and bequest here to for made. Annafnan must surly be Annafran. The r can easily be misread for a n at times. Could this be any of your family? 2. Joan now you have me going. My Pascal did get divorced from a Mary and we could not find him on 1870 altho he should have been there .He may have gone to Ark to get the divorce etc..And she was with a man named Sewell. Also the incident in MO was in 1881 and the mans name was John Sewell. I was always told my Pascal was a twin but no one has ever known about the twin nor what his name was. This is so facinating. If you get a chance can you find all this and send it on to me.I do have the article from history of Greene Co Mo about it but I can't find the news article that may have more info. Thanks a bunch. If you can remember where in Ark the divorce was or dates would be great Pat .

    3. Pat, I do remember a divorce of a Pascal from a Mary Tucker. It was in AR, but I don't remember the date. The paper is, no doubt, buried in my "Tucker mess" which I have boxed up at present (due to painting). I also know that there were a couple of twins named Pascal and George Tucker (I think--would have to check), who shot a man in Greene County, MO. It is recorded on line in a Greene County History. The mans surname was Sowell and there had been some "bad blood" between them prior. It could have been something to do with the Civil War, but I don't remember all of the facts at the moment. The Tucker brothers escaped. So, perhaps this was the same Pascal? It isn't too far to be across the AR border from Greene Co. MO. He was supposedly born in TN and died 23 March 1892 in Madison Creek, AR. He married 21 March 1850 to Mary E. YEARWOOD. This line of Tuckers were part of the Barry Co. MO Tuckers. 3. Hi, It has been some time since I posted. So, I thought I would ask about Tuckers who were in Lawrence Co. Arkansas. I know that there was a Henry G. Tucker, a John Tucker and a Peyton Tucker (probably others as well, but these names spring to mind) there early on. My ancestor, Aaron Tucker, was also in Lawrence County, Arkansas. He was listed there on the tax lists for 1832 and 1833. He was living in Davidson Township. Does anyone have any Tuckers who were there in this era?
