    3. Sorry some of you are getting wet and pray that Irene is as gentle to you as she can be. We are already down into the high 50's tonight and still in the low 80's during the day. Nights are in the high 40's to low 50's. The trees are starting to turn color. That means that one of these nights not too long ago, Jack Frost, must have visited. I know one night not so long ago the furnace ran all night long and was still coming on at 8 in the morning. So, that could have been the night Mr. Frost visited. Tonight.... after searching for 30+ years, I have in my hand the will of Jack's 4th great grandfather. The closest I got to my brick wall was.. "To my Son David S. C. Alexander I give and bequeath my rifle it being the same one owned by his grandfather" Why couldn't he say his grandfather.. Robert, John, James or William? He could have given me a clue as to who this grandfather was. At least I know the man existed and the 4th g grandfather wasn't beamed down. Have a good one!! OH, the server... I will get back on that tomorrow.. I got into ftp tonight so need to see what else works. I know the password, that was created tonight, lets me into the file....for the Chuckwagon. I am a wee bit brain dead tonight, have done about 30 lbs of peaches today and have about 20 more to do tomorrow. Freezing these!! g

    3. Just brag about your weather. It's still summer here in central Oklahoma. My little weather station said yesterday's high was 107 and it's 102 right now. The local weatherman says it's not going to go away till about the middle of next month at best. We've had 100+ temperatures everyday since early June. Went straight from Spring to August. Way behind in rainfall also. Only about 6 inches since early June. I may have lost my Japanese Maple by the back deck. I just couldn't get enough water on it that month we were in Wichita. Maybe it will come back from the root next spring. It's a shame. It was a nice little maple. My Mimosa trees look like the devil but they are hanging in there. On the plus side it's starting to drop into the high 80's by midnight. Not the mid 90's like it has been.
