This has been a good discussion with some points that I have not considered. I figured that thought had gone into this, but wanted to bring it up just in case. At 55 I should know better, but I still operate from the viewpoint that people are trustworthy until they prove themselves otherwise. Works most of the time, but been burned a few times. In an endeavor like this, I think I would agree with Jeanne to be more cautious. In the event that something should happen to someone, Gail can contact Gerhardt (at accounts) and they will reissue new passwords to gail for all of the sites that person has in trails. However, the passwords/info for guestbooks, counters, and search engines aren't managed in the same manner. My caution is based upon when I first started with Trails, Diane was my state coordinator for NC and I trusted her. My trust has been destroyed in her, but if she had all my passwords.... as it was, she deleted some of my sites when she left and I had to restore them. I can only cringe at what she might have done to some of my other sites if she had the passwords to them... I guess I am only being cautious. But in the event that something were to happen to me, all of my passwords, site info, pictures, everything is on a series of flash drives and they will be mailed to Gail. I'm hoping that I can get an external hard drive in the near future. At that point, it would be a single external hard drive which would be mailed to Gail with all of the data for my sites, loaded and not yet loaded. Passwords, etc are all included in that data. Just my two cents worth...
