    1. [TTTP] Question on site passwords

    3. Would it be appropriate to send my passwords up the 'chain of command' for safe keeping (in my case, Linda)? The reason I ask if two weeks ago my father-in-law passed away in less than 2 hours. His wife is now working to get her life in order with his passing. Fortunately, he keep everything organized (account numbers, userid/passwords, etc). This has got me thinking (again, go through the process with each passing) about making sure my records are well organized for Theresa and my children. Then I thought about us. I was thinking of sending Linda all my info for my sites. That includes my password for my tttp sites plus userid/passwords for my search field accounts and my counter accounts. It will include info on a guestbook if I add one. With current commitments to the group that is 33 userid/passwords (for my counties) and an untold number for the territories (potentially well over a hundred (a project that will be much larger than I originally thought) which I would send the national directors). My second question: 'Is there a plan like this in place all the way up the 'chain of command'? Just wondering. 3. I think we do need to do some analysing and make definite plans, but I hesitate to suggest giving your passwords to another person. In the event that something should happen to someone, Gail can contact Gerhardt (at accounts) and they will reissue new passwords to gail for all of the sites that person has in trails. However, the passwords/info for guestbooks, counters, and search engines aren't managed in the same manner. My caution is based upon when I first started with Trails, Diane was my state coordinator for NC and I trusted her. My trust has been destroyed in her, but if she had all my passwords.... as it was, she deleted some of my sites when she left and I had to restore them. I can only cringe at what she might have done to some of my other sites if she had the passwords to them... I guess I am only being cautious. But in the event that something were to happen to me, all of my passwords, site info, pictures, everything is on a series of flash drives and they will be mailed to Gail. I'm hoping that I can get an external hard drive in the near future. At that point, it would be a single external hard drive which would be mailed to Gail with all of the data for my sites, loaded and not yet loaded. Passwords, etc are all included in that data. Just my two cents worth...
