    3. What I do for this is sign up for the roots mail list for my counties and send notices as I do updates for my sites- It has been working thus far. there is also list for an entire state like here in Fl. Only thing is, once in awhile you get a twit who admins a list ( usualy a USGW member ) who refused to pass your notices along to the list- I have that problem with our Florida list for roots. If this the place to post updates to my sites for the group or would that info go to another place? 2. If there a public forum available for posting updates so that people can be made aware of updates. I noticed the TEXAS-TTTP-L on rootsweb and the Facebook page for the group. I assume these would be the places. Yes/No? Related question. Is the TEXAS-TTTP-L a public list (can anyone join)? If this is meant to be a public list, how would I get one created for the U.S. Territories.? Ok, enough questions for now. Wife is waiting for me to go run some errands. 3. Peggy, if you have problems sending info, just tell Gerhard, send him the rejection you get and he will take care of the administrator for us. g On Fri, Jul 6, 2012 at 4:04 PM, PMcSwain <pmcswain@tampabay.rr.com> wrote: > What I do for this is sign up for the roots mail list for my counties and > send notices as I do updates for my sites- It has been working thus far. > there is also list for an entire state like here in Fl. > Only thing is, once in awhile you get a twit who admins a list ( usualy a > USGW member ) who refused to pass your notices along to the list- I have > that problem with our Florida list for roots. > Peggy > > -----Original Message----- > From: Charlie Vines > Sent: Friday, July 06, 2012 1:53 PM > To: TTTP@rootsweb.com > Subject: [TTTP] A couple of questions > > Hi Again, > > I have a couple of questions. > > 1. 3. That is kinda how I was thinking. Each county mailing list, but also the tttp list. 1. The facebook page. 2. Gail's idea about Texas groups in Facebook was good. There are a few. None have a lot of members, but could still bring traffic. I will also be checking to see if there are any county specific groups. 3. I am a member of Genealogywise.com, a genealogy based social network. Not large, but again could bring traffic. 4. Finally posting here. If this doesn't get the word out, I don't know what will.
