Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I look forward to working with you all. As far as who am I? I am a southern boy with southern roots dating back to at least the early 1700's maybe the late 1600's. Either way, my family was here before the rebellion against England. Same for my wife. Both family groups came to Virginia and migrated south and/or west from there. I was born in VA and have lived in VA, AR, LA, and TX. We moved to TX in 1969. Within TX I have lived in Jasper County (hosted), Nacogdoches County (hosted), Collin County (hosted), Dallas County (hosted), and Lubbock County (hosted). One of my wife's lines came to Hunt County (hosted) in the 1840's. She also has ties to Fannin County (hosted). Her maiden name, Vaden, has ties to Lamar County (hosted) and Hopkins County (hosted). I have been doing family research for over 15 years. I have been hosting websites for about four years. Before joining Trails, I manages three county site (Dallas, Hunt, and Lubbock), a WW2 site, and four surname websites (Lloyd/Loyd, Shoemaker (all spellings), Vaden (all spellings), and Vine/Vines. I am married to my bride, Theresa, of 28 years. We have three children and 1 grandchild with one in the oven. I work full time and am active in my church where I am the director of education and discipleship. I also teach a Sunday School class geared mostly for young adults. My biggest problem and frustration is not having the time I would like to develop everything. I left the previous group I was with and joined Trails because of phylisophical (?sp) differences and because I really felt that the US Territories (mainly American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands). I have been given the privilege to devolop these sites. What I didn't know beforehand was the Puerto Rico is set up like a U.S. state with 77 counties, so I guess along with everything I volunteered for, I am also the equivalent of a state host. This will be fun. I think I have rambled long enough. I have some webpages to develop so I bid you all good night or good day. I will be redesigning my 'cookie cutter' web design and hopefully have my first page online by the end of the weekend. Not sure if Billie told you or not, you can host your sites on your own server, our server, and most of us use Rootsweb. Where will you be setting your sites up?
