Doris C. ‍Gregory VIRGINIA BEACH - Doris C. ‍Gregory, 85, peacefully went to be with the Lord at her home on Sept. 22, 2011. She was born on Sept. 20, 1926 in Roanoke, Va., to the late Fred and Ruby Urquhart Crawford, and was predeceased by her husband, Riley M. ‍Gregory. She was a deputy clerk with the Virginia Beach Circuit Court with 39 years of service and was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church, where she worked in the Sunday School office. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Linda Jordan and husband David, Debbie ‍Gregory; three granddaughters, Becky Jordan, Jenny Murray and husband Jon, and Katy Jordan; one great-grandson, Riley Jordan; and her faithful companions Sophie and Sparky. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Kempsville Baptist Church, with Dr. Kelly J. Burris and Chaplin Chris Fosback officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel.
