Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The (GA) - September 4, 2011 Deceased Name: Donna Martin Donna Lynn Martin, 48, resident of Alpharetta, passed away September 2, 2011, in Atlanta, Georgia after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was a loving mother and daughter. She was born May 12, 1963, in Mount Airy, NC, to Diana and Clyde Martin. Donna attended schools both in Florida and Georgia and graduated from Walton High School in Marietta. She was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville and enjoyed a successful career as a job placement specialist for engineering and architectural firms in the Atlanta area and the southeastern U.S. Donna is survived by her son Kyle Casey Martin of Atlanta, her mother, Diana Rowe of Atlanta, her father and step-mother, C.B. and Margie Martin of Mount Airy, North Carolina. She leaves many beloved family members including Wanda Dale and Lloyd Rippey of Galax , VA; Mel and Patti Rector of Palmetto, FL; Glenn and Sarah Martin of Carrollton, VA; Robertta and John Robinson of Merritt Island, FL; Ralph and Gina Martin of Mt. Airy, NC; and John and Sue Townsend of Monterey, TN. Family services will be held Wednesday at Salem Methodist Church in Mt. Airy, NC.
