I apologize for the trouble you're experiencing. This server is currently undergoing a File System Check and Repair (FSCK). Essentially, this is a procedure in which disks with corruption are repaired, to maintain disk integrity and prevent data loss, or to prevent total disk failure. This isn't typical maintenance, and is done in response to extraordinary circumstances. The amount of time required to finish this procedure can vary depending on the size of the disk, the load on the server and the number of "passes" the procedure and tool must make on the afflicted disk.
