GLASGOW - Doris Jean Hemingway, 79, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the Cal Turner Extended Care Facility in Scottsville. She was born in Shelby County, the daughter of the late Harve Perkins and Cecelia Berry Perkins. Mrs. Hemingway was a waitress for most of her life and was a member of Valley Station Baptist Church in Louisville. Survivors include two sons, John Stewart of Louisville and Michael Stewart of Norfolk, Va; three grandchildren, Jim Constant (Jane) of Bowling Green, Ciara Stewart and Michael Stewart, both of Louisville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Delbert Hemingway, and a daughter, Pat Constant. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 2, 2011, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
