My friend in Nathrop who also has a summer place there where we do. g I want to apologize to everyone for being such a drama queen. I was so tired after the hot drive from Nathrop to the Springs. Took 3 hours because Hwy. 24 is closed. When I arrived my son had already taken his family to Castle Rock to his mother in laws place. They were having problems with their asthma. He then came back to the Springs and helped me pack . I made it to my mother's at 2AM and of course didn't sleep until 5AM. My son and I parked on the side of the road and watched homes burn. One of our favorite places "Flying W Ranch" burned down as did our church that was built by the owners of the Ranch. An apartment my son lived in when his first baby was born also burned. It is just unbelievable. I am thankful no one has been hurt. Again, I apologize for coming off like it was all about me because I sure didn't mean to. I was just in shock. ~Nancy~in Denver. --
