    3. If Trails is thinking on a wiki type of page- why not just add a page to each county ( or state ) that the researchers can add to- or place a page with a mail box for submitting such links as on wiki- that is all the wiki search does- provide links to other material- right or wrong? Just thoughts- also thought it may be a more simple solution that running another state oriented project. -- PMcSwain ---- Jan Cortez <[email protected]> wrote: This could be done at the National level thru the Trails server, if Gail would set it up. We have a set-up like that in MIGenWeb that isn't thru Google but our own server which searches all sites in the state regardless of whether it is on our server, RW and any where else. Now don't ask me how it is done, as ours was set up by my ASC who is positively the most brilliant web person that I have ever met. <g> It does take a major amount of time to spider all the sites and we have it set-up on a schedule to spider so many sites each day. I would imagine that once Trails really grows though - it would be quite a job with all the different states and counties. Mi only has 83 counties, so add in all the other states and you have a lot once everything has grown, which it will in time.
