While the site does look nice, I don't know that I would recommend how it is setup. It requires javascript to function -- if I turn javascript off, I do not get any header, title, logo, or navigation at all. Because of this, I don't know how search engines would be able to crawl the site, as they don't use javascript. This may have been part of the problem you were having -- if you had a javascript error on the page, it could have stopped the navigation from loading.
