    3. The issue about the State of Superior is still going on today. I can remember reading newspapers day after day when I was growing up about the issues of the "51st State". And that was a current issue. Might be something for Michigan. Jeannie has been working on something on the State of Franklin and the Washington District/Watauga Association. That concerned parts of Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina, possibly Kentucky, too. It was actually established, but unrecognized and if it had been recognized, would have gone bankrupt shortly after it's dissolution.... I believe the actual boundaries were in the Appalachian/Blue Ridge Mountains along the current states' borders. However, there were actual records made during the time of it's unrecognized existence, so it is very important genealogically. Back to my hidey hole to finish up some of this stuff on Idaho....
