There were lots of what was called 1 and 2 man subs sunk off of Ship Island part of the gulf Shore of Mississippi Islands. There is a fort on the Island that the Union captured and used for prisoners of war. It was an old Spanish Fort. Been there many times. I like going home to Jackson County, Mississippi where I was born. I love Harrison, Hancock in Mississippi. Mobile County in Alabama and of The parishes of New Orleans area. I can close my eyes and see the beaches as they were before the Casino's. Thank God for all the pictures I took before they were built. The boat trips out to the Islands, The shrimp train ride that took us through Kessler and all those guys. Sure enjoyed them when I was young and going back for visits. When I was born. Lights only a little on a car at night and all windows had to be covered when no light could come through. The Shipyard towns were always on high alert. Had a few Japaness Captives there at times. The Naval Base took them away. No cars were alowed on beach road at night unless military. We had a car but walk about everywhere we went. Chevron has one of there largest refineries there. Got pictures of the cargo ships sitting out in the gulf where they hook up and pike in the Oil. My dad worked for Ingalls Shipyard during the war. He was on the A team and every 90 days they turned out a ship. He often would work for 3 or 4 weeks without a day off. We lived on Market Street 3 1/2 blocks from the Gulf. The Navy had patrols in the waters for the shipyards. That is what the japaness were wanting to try and blow up some. We saw some brought into ingalls on the Pascagoula River. Ingalls set on the river. Part of the Plant on the East banks and part on the west banks. If you want info on ship wrecks. Pascagoula has a web site with and email on it and you can email and ask about them. All the lighthouses on hwy +0 were painted black during the war. There is a hugh one in the middle of 90 in Biloxi There have been ships of long ago found off the coast of Jackson, Harrison, Hancock, Mobile and other counties on the gulf coast for all the states. One just recently found off the coast of Louisiana that is over 200 years old. It is in great condistion and the historians are all excited about the good condition the ship is in.

Who is the state administrator for Mississippi? I am sorry but no way can I find that this state is up for adoption and no where can I find who is responsibile for the state, there is not information on the index page. How are people suppose to get a hold of someone when nothing is listed so how can they adopt anything with no contact information? Gail --
Under this circumstance I think I will leave the county pages on the state site and let anyone that adopts (if that ever happens) set up the account. Unless you are recommending otherwise. I can see how problems will occur in the distant future with that system, though it makes sense. I have to admit to being discouraged by the lack of interest. <sigh> -- Sheri FamilyTwigs <http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~familytwigs/> TwigTalk <http://familytwigs.blogspot.com/> Indiana Trails To The Past <http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/%7Eintttp/> SA Jackson County <http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Einjacktp/>Trails To The Past

You, as the owner of the site, send a note to Gerhard and tell him that you have turned such and such state or county over to so and so and give him the email address of the new SA or CA. He will then remove you and change the password and sent a note to the person that they can retrieve their new passwords from Password Central. g On Sat, May 19, 2012 at 5:07 AM, Billie Walsh <bilwalsh@swbell.net> wrote: > How do you do that? > > On 05/19/2012 02:38 AM, Gail Kilgore wrote: > > Billie, I think you have some in WY that need to be transfered to the > CA's. > > > > Gail > > > > -- > > > > ------------------------------- > > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > TTTP-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message > > > > > -- > “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain > the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the > government lest it come to dominate our lives and interests”. > > - Patrick Henry - > > > _ _... ..._ _ > _._ ._ ..... ._.. ... .._ > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > TTTP-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message > --
I have Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana and Attala, Jackson and Harrison Counties in Mississippi. I have most of TN and KY Counties and no one has adopted a parish in LA. Who needs these passwords. Jeannie in KY From: Gail Kilgore <gail.kilgore@gmail.com> To: tttp <tttp@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 19, 2012 3:37 AM Subject: [TTTP] County and State Sites We keep running into road blocks on these people adopting the passwords for various states and counties. At the request of RW, if you have adopted out a site, the person who adopts it now becomes the owner of that site and that password needs to be connected to their email address. Gerhard has to look up whose name these passwords are in, then ask me to release them to the SA or CA and that should have been done when they adopted the site. If you have people who have sites that were in your name and they have now adopted the site, the password has to be transfered to their name. This also includes sites that I have. We are searching to too many passwords and it comes down to the fact that the DA, SA usually have these sites in their name... no more, please transfer them to the new owner of the sites.
