    3. Where are you putting some [all] of these recipes? Guess it is Labor Day weekend. I am just so excited cause my hubby is coming in Thursday night. I think I have kind of missed him, just a little bit. What do you use for a rub? I had a fantastic rub and not sure what I did with the recipe. Grandson said not to use brown sugar, cause it burns. If he uses regular sugar he has no problem. Haven't convinced them, it is really not for the grill but for the smoker. g On Tue, Aug 30, 2011 at 12:19 PM, Sammie jean gregory Fairchild <[email protected]> wrote: > I am ready.  Hope you are ready for the cookout. 30 percent chance of rain.  That is ok we have a hugh front porch and cooked there before.  Baby Backs BQ with Jack Daniels and some St Louis and tex mex rub.  Grilling beans.  Spicey,  veggie tray, beer and cheese and hot brats, Mac/cheese, broccoli casserole, grills onions and potatoes, byob, dips, chips, watermellon, cake and pies,  bring your appitite with you.  be ready stash some for the trip home.  I have lots of cherry tomatoes.  Grape Kool Aide, Lemon Aide, Tea, Coffee and Ice water i Furnish.  Oh forgot Deviled eggs.  celery with permentoe cheese and my own dip made with hot and spicey cheese, salsa and hamburger meat and my secret ingrediants.  good going down have the tums ready for later.  We are going to enough money from the water damage leaks that we are going to replace the roof and stop the leaking.  Took 16 feet off the Crape Myrtle and still level with the fench out >  back.  Taking down the top of the big maple in back yard.  too many limbs coming off.  Going to take down the garage and put up a big shed.  Give us more family parking.  The wooden garage is falling in and never have used it for nothing but storage.  So far only a few in the family has to work  My neice Brandy but Nick and kids coming.  My grandson in law may have to work but ashley and baby will be here.  Start cooking baby backs at 1:45 p.m.  Serving will be when baby backs done.  Oh trying to find the rest of the ice cream maker for home made ice cream.  Got the bit marshmellows for the kids HAHAHAHAH to roast. From: Alice Allen <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, August 29, 2011 4:23 PM Subject: Re: [TTTP] This n That - Alice I'm not sure that the Nutmeggers are being cast out--I know we have a bunch on the shelf.  What's being cast off is packed up in boxes.  If I get a chance on Thursday I will see if I can go through some of the boxes and get an idea.  They won't actually weeded out until October some time, but we'll be having a work party before then and I'll have a better idea of what's available. These are genealogy society publications we've been receiving over the years, and we're getting rid of the '70's & '80's, and maybe some '90's because we need the room they take up on the shelf for books. I'll sign up for Alaska, Colorado & Connecticut (along with Kansas) if they are on the list.  I'm not sure we had any from either Alaska or Colorado, but I will check.  If I can find what I did with my notes from last week's library committee meeting, I'll know what states are available, at least. Dr. John Glennon, of Granville, NY, passed away at his home on Monday, August 22, 2011 following a long illness. John was born on December 20, 1932 in Kingston, New York, the son of the late John B. and Nell (Avery) Glennon. John was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady and Albany Medical College in 1958. John married Anita Morin on November 24, 1955. John, Anita and their budding family left for Staten Island Hospital in Hagerstown, MD, where he serviced his residency in public health. Upon completion of this, they moved to Granville, New York, where John opened a practice which spanned from 1961 until December of 1998 when he retired. He and Anita served as medical missionaries in the Dominican Republic. John's devotion to medicine and his young family, interpreted into vacation's spent with John volunteering for two week stints in places such as Okenagan, Washington, at the federal prison in Lewisburg, PA, at an Aids clinic in Provincetown, Massachusetts and at federal prison hospital, Harrisburg, PA, and during the Cuban crisis at Indiantown Gap, PA. John spent the two weeks covering for other doctor's so that they could have vacation time. John was much more to the Granville area then a kind and caring family practitioner. He and his wife, Anita (who in addition to being a wife and mother was also a nurse) served the public in many other ways. Their strong faith brought them to immeasurable heights when it came to public service. Some examples of this was serving as school physician, volunteering for many years at Washington County Head Start, serving with Carl Clapper to help with the Handicapped Children's Program and with Pat Harrison, RN, working on the Utilization Committee reviewing charts for public health nursing at their office in Hudson Falls. Always ready to help those in need, John frequently raided the kitchen and freezer of their large family to fill boxes of food for those in need, which he gave away. Along with their parish priest and good friend, Father Paul Roman, they started what is now known as the Ecumenical Food Pantry and is housed in the basement of St. Mary's Church. John wanted to take his faith a step farther, and was ordained a Deacon in 1982 by Bishop Howard Hubbard, where he served in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. His assignment from the Diocese was to serve with Father James Hayes as a Chaplain at Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock, NY. Not one to be idle, after John retired from his medical practice he received his Master's in Theology at Westminster Chapel at Oxford University in Cambridge, England in 2000. John and Anita started spending their winters in Leesburg, Florida, where John served the Orlando Diocese. He filled in as a Chaplain for the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. He also volunteered at the Free Baptist Clinic which provided medical assistance for those without health insurance. John was predeceased by his parents; by his eldest child, Mary Bergmeier in 1998 from Breast Cancer; and in 2005 by a grandson, Zachary Bergmeier, who had just returned from Fallujah and Samarrah in Iraq. John was the eldest of his siblings, they are: William and his wife, Terry and two sons, James (predeceased) and his wife, Geraldine, all of Kingston, NY; his sister, Margaret Jasinski and her husband, Frank and their six children, all Massachusetts. John and Anita were blessed with their children who survive John: John Glennon Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of North Carolina; Robert and his wife, Sarah of Brattleboro, VT; Ann Benjamin and her husband, David of Keene, NH; Elizabeth Dean and her husband, Jason of E. Swanzey, NH; and Joseph Glennon and Teryll Rainey of California. In a continuation of his large family, John is survived by his beloved grandchildren: Jacob Bergmeier and his wife, Diana of Connecticut; Kirsten Glennon and Stephanie of MA; Lisa Lamont and her husband, Eric of Maine; Veronica Glennon of Richmond, VA; Jonathan Glennon of NY; and Clark, Graham and Rhys Glennon, all of Brattleboro. The newest member of the family is great-granddaughter, Lillian Jane Bergmeier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, NY, with the Rev. Thomas Zelker and Bishop Howard Hubbard presiding. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville, NY. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM with a prayer vigil at 7:45 PM, by Fr. Joe at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY.
