Hi! I hope someone can answer these questions. I recently received a letter from a friend whose ancestors were Peter Cooke Waterbury and his wife Mary Slason. Both were born in Stamford CT in 1759. The Godfather of Mary and her brother Rowland Slason was Rowland Tryon. (Recent emails said Rowland b. 1783) My friend also wrote "Later Rowland Tryon and Prudence Tryon moved to Chatham NY." Mary was the d/o James Slason and his wife Anna _______. So, Was the father of Rowland Tryon b. 1783 also a Rowland Tryon? Or, do we have a totally new Rowland Tryon here? Could Anna ______ have been a Tryon? Sister of the Rowland not born in 1783? Anna would have been born circa 1730 give or take. Is Prudence the wife or the sister of this Rowland?
