Jeremiah was probably son of either Jonathan or Nathan, the original progenitors. I suggest you try to find copies of these two family histories of the Gillett/ Gillette/ Gillitt families: (1) Aldridce, Bertha ... "Gillette Families, including Some of the Descendants of the Immigrants Jonathan Gillet and Nathan Gillet, Brothers from Chalcombe, Somersetshire, England to Nantasket, Massachusetts, 1630, to Windsor, Connecticut, 1632. Also All of the Descendants of Barton Ezra Gillet, a Descendant of Jonathan, the Immigrant, 1800-1955" Published in 1955. NEHGS catalog CS/71/G475/1955 (2) Thomas, Wilma G ... "The Joseph Gilett/ Gillett/ Gillette Family of Connecticut, Ohio and Kansas" published in 1970, NEHGS catalog CS/71/G475/1970 Good hunting. Dan Brevik
