(Is there a catch? <groan>) in fact, there is a nice gap in the progression of Simeon's children, between Aphia (6 Oct 1815) and Samuel Lewis (b. 21 Mar 1819), and the census information indicates Henry B was born ca. 1817/18. The Maine birthplace caught me too, and I am inclined to take it seriously. A birth in Michigan that early would indicate a very early renoval to that Territory by the parents and I don't know of any such. (Although those guys were known to wander). And looking further at Simeon's kids, I do not see any daughter born 1821 and 1840 who could be called Adelia or anything like it. Dan
