Was contacted by this person when she saw my Tryon census database on line. I told her all about EZRA Tryon of Wayne Co. and his son John, or at least what I know of them. I told her I would forward her letter to the group while she checks into how to subscribe to the list. I know we had at least 1 desc of Ezra on the list, so I thought he/she might want to drop her a line. Vicki ---------- | From: Michael & Christine <mlindner@netquest.com> | To: Vicki Titus <vtitus@ipa.net> | Subject: Ohio Tryons | Date: Thursday, December 18, 1997 1:03 PM | | I moved to Detroit from Ohio ten years ago, and all of my Tryon relatives | are from Ohio, mainly Medina and Wayne Counties. I've been able to trace | back to John Tryon (1794 -1872). I believe his father was a brother of | William Tryon, Governor of North Carolina ~1777, so hopefully William's | fame will make it a little easier to find information on my ancestors | around that time. (But maybe not!) William was born in England, and I | haven't started researching outside of the United States yet, so I have | lots of new resources to study about finding ancestors in England. | | How do I subscribe to the Tryon mailing list? | | --C | | ---------- | > From: Vicki Titus <vtitus@ipa.net> | > To: mlindner@netquest.com | > Subject: Re: Wow! | > Date: Thursday, December 18, 1997 10:46 AM | > | > Thanks for the comment.
