    3. Can we help Neil? We could offer him TRIAN or even TRAIN, on occasion. I haven't run into TRIAND, yet; anyone else? The TRIANCE line broke away in Norfolk shortly after the arrival in England of Peter and the boys. It could be French--de TRION married MONTALEMBERT. A note there says this was originally a Scottish house, whose lineage goes back to ancient times. This branch of TRYON/TRION moved to France where it spread into the provinces of perigord, d'Angoumois and Poitou near the end of the 13th C. I am awaiting further word on the history of the TRYON name from Dick Tryon who has correspondence with a French historian/genealogist?? In any case, Neil, come in and be comfortable with all of us: TRIOEN, TRYOEN (Holland, Flanders), de TRYON/TRION (France), TRYON, TRION, TRYANCE, TRIANCE, TRYANT, TRIANT, TREANCE, TREYANT(England 17th-18th Cs), TRIAN, TRYAN, TRIAL(L), TRYAL(L), all the TYRs, and a few other wierdos Vicki has turned up (spelling-wise, that is, e.g. FRYON and RYON)<g>. Did I miss any? Just one question, Neil, "Do you have a fear of heights?" If not, you might want to check out TRAND; its about 34°40'N by 72°E, just a few hilltops N of Rawalpindi. Looks like a nice spot for a quiet vacation! I've never been there, but, a friend from Srinagar, across the border in Kashmir, says that the weather there, in the Vale is beautiful, much like Nova Scotia<g>.
