The White Cloud library was nice enough to check for Benjamin's marraige for me. Here is what the data says: April ll, 1880 Benjamin Tryon was 49 and Mary Ellen Lord was either 17 or 19. Benjamin born in N Y ,Mary Ellen born in Mi. He was a Wood Maker ( so it states- whatever that was at that time) They were married by Justice James Conver - in Ashland Twp. This Benjamin is b. 1831 but could he be the Benjamin in Allegan just lying his age a little bit? Allegan Co. Benjamin gives his age as 36 in 1850. I suspect it could be. I also think that he was in Van Buren after he left Allegan and "went east" according to the Allegan Co. county history. Is this the same Benjamin who was in Van Buren in 1860 and said his age was age 34 NY, in Lawrence TWP. He had a son Wesley Aaron b. jun 18, 1868 - Mother Charity. If they are all the same man..... we could have real problems identifying him, even if we could find his grave. Vicki
