To all Tryon researchers.... Don Tryon and I have integrated our databases, resulting in something like 10,000 plus individuals involved in the Tryon family. This has now been uploaded onto the Tryon Union webpage, giving it some substance, finally. Please sign on and test it out. This is the first attempt so there are problems. Please let me know what problems you run into (you can EMail from the very place where you find the problem - just look for the EMail button somewhere on the screen - or scrolled off it). The database consists of (1) All people in Edition 2 of The Tryons in America. (2) Many extensions to those families discovered by various researchers since publication of that volume. (3) Various lines not included in Wes' work because he couldn't connect them to the main family - including Pam Waugh's Daniel, Dean Gernon's Benjamin of Coxsackie, Noah and Ezra of Ohio, George of Glastonbury, etc. (4) Many waifs and strays are included, organized by locale (if you can figure out how to navigate thru this mess - I will revise it in the future). (5) Source where known. The program ged2html used to produce the HTML does no adequately support the TMG emission of source and citation, a shortcoming which will soon be overcome shortly, I hope. It does not include: (1) ALL of Wes Tryon's Notes, recently made available to me by Richard Tryon - but some have been input. Don and I hope to get the rest into the database within the next few months. (2) The recently discovered Who's Who in the Tryon Family (1992) consisting of 100 contemporary families - once again, 2 or 3 have been input. (25% of these families can be readily connected to what we already have, the other 75% are new.) (3) Odds and ends we have gathered but have not yet had time to incorporate. Please give me you comments. Regards, Dan http://www.tryon-union.com/
