You should contact the Stearns History Museum (in St. Cloud, Minnesota) for extraction of information from Joseph Mergen's epoch manuscript on Emigration out of the District of Trier in the 19th Century. www.stearns-museum.org/index2.html Gretchen Leisen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johnna St Clair" <gjclair@optonline.net> To: <Trier-Roots-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 2:27 PM Subject: [TRIER-ROOTS] Page 235 in Book: MERGEN, Josef Die Auswanderungen aus............ 1987 > Dear Trier List: > > On Ancestry.com I have found this bit of info: > > Peter Bach > 1852 = year of Immigration to > Place: Chicago > with wife and 5 children > Source Publication Code: 5475.1 > Primary Immigrant Bach, Peter > > Annotation: Emigrations from the former Prussian part of Saarland in > the 19th century. Is that annotation true for all exerpts from the Mergen book, or just that particular entry? marge dellwo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johnna St Clair" <gjclair@optonline.net> To: <Trier-Roots-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 2:27 PM Subject: [TRIER-ROOTS] Page 235 in Book: MERGEN, Josef Die Auswanderungen aus............ Johanna, I believe in the Mergen book there is a reference to a family named Heinrich Dellwo ( Delvo, Delvaux) and his wife Anna Maria Dupre Dellwo and children immigrating from perhaps Damflos. Can you give me the exact wording Ancestry gives, such as the information in the annotation. And then would the list help me to mail the right people for more information. I believe that they are listed as going to Chicago. Thank You. I have the subscription for the United States, but not the large world wide one. marge dellwo-Minnesota ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johnna St Clair" <gjclair@optonline.net> To: <Trier-Roots-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 30, 2006 2:27 PM Subject: [TRIER-ROOTS] Page 235 in Book: MERGEN, Josef Die Auswanderungen aus............ Dear Johnna, I do have this book: The city of Merzig, page 235, number 27: "Der Oelmueller Peter Bach, mit seiner Frau und 5 Kindern. 1852. Chicago/USA." translation: "The oil-miller Peter Bach with his wife and 5 children. 1852. Chicago/USA." You can get additional information to this family from the familybook of Merzig.
