BlankGreetings, My Trier ancestors originated in Konfeld (Confeld) which is south and slightly east of Trier. Wilhelm Kuhn emigrated c. 1847 and his brother, Charles, either came with him or around the same time. They both settled in Milwaukee and Wilhelm's two sons started the American Candy Co. in Milwaukee. Catholic church records for the Kuhn family in Konfeld are on film with the FHC. The records I have go back to 1698. I could give a rundown on the family but it's way too extensive. If anyone wants more information, please feel free to email me.
