    1. Klasges/Klaseus from Nusbaum Trier
    2. We have a Klasges family, supposedly from Nusbaum.  One brother,  Jacob Klasges, came abt 1851, first to Mass then later relocated to Minn to join his father and rest of family in MN. This brother is supposed to have complted military service before coming to the US Jacob Klasges and family arrived in New York on the Ship Constitution in 1857 Jacob Klaesges 48 Angela 48 (maiden name Hoffman) Anna 23 (married a WIlliam Arnsdorff in St Paul MN) Michel 21 (married Dorothea Duemeland) Catherine 17 Michael Klasges/Klaseus/Klassus filed citizenship papers in MN 6 May 1857 They lived in Le Sueur Co, MN. Michael served in the Minnesota Mounted rangers during the Civil War and his widow drew a pension based on that service. Current spelling is Klaseus (pronounced Clay sees)...spelling on original documents by both brothers is Klasges. Can anyone give me guidence on what church records are readily available for Nusbaum, Trier in the early 1800's?
