    1. Re: [TRIER-ROOTS] Plein
    2. Hi Patrick: Checking my tree, I find some Fisch family, Adolph the oldest born around 1890 had a daughter Mary that married a Weydert from northwest Iowa. Another Nicholas Fisch married a Felter from Luxembourg, while in Luxembourg, he was born around 1895. There are some children in the 1910-1920 period also. Does any of that match up? My name is Patrick Fish and one of my relatives Christian Fisch married a Margaretha Weber in Aach, Trier in 1820. Christian was from Trierweiler, Trier and the son of Johan Peter Fisch and Anna Maria Hettinger. My gg grandfather Philippus Fisch was Christian's brother. Philip immigrated from Bekond, Schweich, Germany 18 Jul 1846 Anterp to NY and went directly to Chicago. My G grandfather John Fis(c)h b. in Bekond 1840 moved from Chicago to Menominee, MI in 1885 and my grandfather Francis James Fish moved to Dulutn, MN ca. 1906. Any connection? Go to the Castle Garden site in New York where all of the arrivals came before Ellis Island started screening passengers. Again I which to state to the Trier searchers that the exit papers for my grandfather and his brothers are filed in the Archives in Koblenz, Germany. If you don't find him arriving in NY then get to an archive that has the alphabetized list on film for the people arriving in Baltimore. The list of Baltimore arrivals even had the name of my grandmother's home village. Check marriage records for Lee county as you also have the name of the spouse.
