I live 3 miles from a U.S. Archive and they are connected to Heritage Quest, but I am sure that I have looked at Castle Garden at home just going to Google and punching in Castle Garden. Or just go to Cindy's list. Go to the Castle Garden site in New York where all of the arrivals came before Ellis Island started screening passengers. Again I which to state to the Trier searchers that the exit papers for my grandfather and his brothers are filed in the Archives in Koblenz, Germany. If you don't find him arriving in NY then get to an archive that has the alphabetized list on film for the people arriving in Baltimore. The list of Baltimore arrivals even had the name of my grandmother's home village. Check marriage records for Lee county as you also have the name of the spouse.
