My ancestor, Michael PIER was born in Oberleuken Saarland Germany 12 Oct 1825. His mother and father were Petrus PIER born Abt. 1788, and Anna SETTINGER born Abt. 1793. Both Anna and Peter Pier died young in Oberleuken. They had 4 children Their daughter Maria died as an infant. John lived in Orscholz Saarland Germany, and Michael and his brother Peter Pier immigrated to Wisconsin in the 1850's. Michael lived in East Troy Wisconsin, and Peter lived in Tomah Wisconsin. Two of John Pier's children, John and Matthew Pier immigrated from Orscholz to Wisconsin in 1891 and 1892. Terry Staub
