This is not correct, I am writing at the project "Familienbuch parish of Utscheid". It includes the following towns, farms and villages (no cities): Buscht, Fischbach (near Neuerburg, now Fischbach-Oberraden), Glashuette (near Utscheid, founded 1763, destroyed in the 1970´s), Gotthelfsberg (founded arround 1850), Hamerskaul (founded arround 1850, Neuhaus (near Utscheid, founded arround 1830), Niederraden (near Neuerburg), Oberraden (near Neuerburg), Russdorf (near Utscheid), Utscheid (written Outscheid before 1972), Waldhof (near Utscheid, an very old farm) I have included this: nothary records, civil records (1796-1875), church books (1743-1900), census lists 1604-1659 from the country archive in Luxemburg City), several histoy books about the included villages, articles from the newspaper of Bitburg 1847-1872 (exists 1847-1945), cemetery datas, only some old documents from the time before 1800 from the state archive in Koblenz, private records from people in Utscheid, photos and old postcards from the towns in this book. Generally speaking, Familienbücher include information from the records of a given parish, i.e., all the baptisms, marriages, and deaths that were recorded in the parish registers. If a family moved from the town, the information about these events would no longer be recorded in that town's records, but in the records of the new town. So there is no reason to believe that the Nennig Familienbuch would shed any light on their activities in Koenigsmacher, Mondorf or whereever they lived after that. Good luck! You should be commended for your efforts to include all that information, but I still stand by my original statement (note emphasis): > *****Generally speaking*****, Familienbücher include information from the > records of a given parish If you look at all the Familienbücher listed on the WGfF website, the overwhelming majority of them include only information from church records. An exception doesn't make the rule. Kathy
