    1. Re: [TRIER-ROOTS] Jacobs
    2. Jake Jacobs
    3. Thank you, Dave! There is a hint in the family stories he was in Milwaukee, but it seemed so slight. We have planned a trip to the Milwaukee ARC center to see if there are any Naturalization papers. We know he was in Sheboygan (with other Jacobs') in 1855 through 1880 when they moved to Kaukauna. We know so much about him on this side of the ocean, but go blank from there. Thank you so much. This is a terrific clue. Your response is appreciated. Sincerely, Jake and Connie Jake, Don't know if this will help at all but I have a Jacobs who immigrated to Milwaukee from Losheim. Her name was Maria Jacobs, born 1820 and married to Johann Schuler (parts of the family changed the spelling to Shuler after settling in Janesville. Anyway, I know that Maria had many siblings although I don't know the names. She was the daughter of Nikolaus Jacobs and Barbara Minninger. Let me know if any of this sounds familiar. I should say that they came to the States in 1852 (direct to Milwaukee).
