For those who have not yet discovered it, the website maintained by Thomas Pick at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~pick/<http://freepages.genealogyrootsweb.com/~pick/> has extensive data from old Catholic church records for towns in the Eifel region. I found my grandmother, Elizabeth Mandernach, on the list for Dahlem near Sülm. There are 37 Mandernachs on the list. Also, a google search on Dahlem took me to a website for the village, at http://www.saro-design.com/dahlem/<http://www.saro-design.com/dahlem/> This is an excellent site, with photos of the town. I sent a message to the Dahlem forum in German, asking if anyone named Mandernach was still living there. The web hostess, Sandra Roth, replied in English and said that the last Mandernach to live in Dahlem died in 2000, but two Mandernach families still live in the nearby village of Preist. She sent me their addresses, and also an address where the Mandernachs of Dahlem used to live. Dwight Fine
