Was there a great tradition of glasswork in the Trier region? We were there recently and were fascinated by the beautiful windows--old and new--all over the city. We loved visiting Trier. It's a wonderful city, full of life and rich with history. I would like to add that I have a friends daughter who is a master stained glass artist in Trier. The person that she studied under is also in Trier. I have been to her studio and seen some of the designs that she has done for churches. Beautiful work!
