Pamela, If your ancestor was called John, he may have been Johann or Johannes in Germany. I have a Johannes and an Anna Maria in the Molitor line that married Joannis Melchior Diederich - which their last name would be, not Molitor. Your first step would be finding the original city in Germany - it's a fairly common name. Also, there was a Paul Molitor who was a pitcher for a major baseball team, but I can't locate him now. Ruth
There is a Paul Molitor living in the Twin Cities, either Minneapolis or St. Paul, more likely one of the suburbs who played major league baseball as an infielder, not a pitcher. Believe his family, or hometown, is St. Paul MN.
