Lister beeves, Borg is the actual "city" of your ancestor. Borg is listed as "near Perl," as a way of identifying it from other places named Borg. Borg and Perl were in the Kreis/county Saarburg, in the Reigerungsbezirk/district Trier, Kingdom of Prussia. After 1871, "Germany" would have been added at the end of the list, as the kingdom was incorporated in the larger empire of Germany.
