Mary: My g g grandgfather Philipp Fisch (Bekond, Germany married Elizabeth Jochem in Leiwen, Germany in 1835. Bekond and Leiwen are aprox 30 miles East of Trier. My Fisch relatives are from the Trier area - Trierweiller, Aach, Ehrang, Konz, Kenn, Igel, Longuich. Philipp's father was Johann Fisch and he married Anna Maria Catharina Follmann in 1796 in Foehren, Germany. On the Follmann side there is a Johann Zimmer (Konz) who married Anna Margarethe Berg in 1846. Philipp and Elizabeth immigrated from Germany through Anterp in 1846 with their children including my g Grandfather Johann Fis(c)h. They settled in Chicago and later my G grandfather moved to Menominee, MI and my grandfather Francis Fish along with my father Francis moved to Duluth, MN (1906). Any connection with Elizabeth Jochem Or Johann Zimmer? I have the name JOCHUM in my family tree in the village of Huettigweiler, Saarland, in the late 17th century (i.e. 1690's).
