I am very interested in your ansestor. Where did he come from in Trier? And where did he go in the Austrian Empire. We had an ansestor named Ludwig Delwo, unknown address in Trier area, who applied for a passport on June 3, 1784 in Vienna, and on June 6 1784 left for Galicia. Resettled in Kalusch, 1786 which is still Galicia. Which was part of the Austro Hungarian Empire 1772-1919. Richardiena Delwo did the research ( from Canada) and some of her sourses were St. Valentine's Churchbook, Warsaw Archives ( LDS), Captured Berlin documents, USA archives, Polish Embassy, Ottawa, Bishop Archives in Lubaczow with marraiges and births, St. Valentines Parish LVOV archives. So from that information, your sourses would first be from area he settled in, those churchbooks may be available through LDS. and then possible the Warsaw archives through same sourse, and try the other sourses. I would like your information off the list if you would share that with me, to see if our ansesters crossed paths.
