Hi, I am new to this list, just having found info stating my gggrandfather PIERRE BAKEIS and his brother, JOSEPH BAKEIS were born in Vance, Province of Luxembourg. This info was NOT from offical source, so I would like to follow upon this. I am completely new at searching Luxembourg, nor do I understand the history of the area. My line came to USA about 1850 (-/+). Any suggestions has to (1) short history book on Luxembourg (2) genealogical resources, would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance, Eleanor
