HI, I am new to the list an working on the following names: Thome My G Grandfather, Jacob Thome (1865-1950) emigrated from Cruchten, Canton Mersch, Luxembourg through Chicago where he was married, and to Yakima, WA. His parents were Matthias Thome and Katherine Schrader (or Schroder), both of whom are buried in Cruchten. His wife, Anna Hilbert (1876-1956) was born in Rumelange, Luxembourg to Matthias Hilbert and a woman whom my grandmother thought was named Marguerite or Magdalena, who was Matthias' second wife. She had a half sister who also emigrated to Chicago. I am wondering if anyone has confirmation that Matthias is the son of another Matthias and a woman named Barbara Cornet.
