Hello Mrs. Byman, in the books of Josef Mergen a emmigration expert 1947-1962 I have found the following RAUTENSTRAUCH emmigrants from Trier: Rautenstrauch, Karl Theodor , born in Trier November 9,1839, wanted to emmigrate to Buenos Aires in Argentinia; permission from 1864 Rautenstrauch, Valentin , born 1832 in (Trier ?) age 22 wanted to emmigrate from Trier to South-Amerika permission from 1854 bouth sons of Johann Wilhelm Rautenstrauch from Trier. (father was born in Strassburg/Elsace,France but living with family in Trier. It was a very rich and well known family in Trier.
