    3. I'm also working on Thome. My greatgrandfather was Mathias Thome (1863-1943) who emigrated from Luxembourg in 1880 and went on to settle in the Chippewa Falls, WI area through St. Paul and Bemidji, MN. According to the marriage record when he married my greatgrandmother Susie Funk (Fonck) in 1893 in St. Paul, MN, his father's name was Theodore Thome and his mother was Elisabeth Moras (Mores). Mathias L. Thome was a witness at the marriage. Are any of these names familiar? I am hoping to determine the area in Luxembourg where the family originated.
