My great-grandfather Mathias Schutz, had a sister Margaret Schutz born 1/1851. I believe she married a Marlin STEFFANS. Their parents Johann SCHUTZ and Catharina REINERT. Mathias married Margaret KOTZ. They had a daughter Margaret SCHUTZ born 7/6/1876. She married Jacob WINTERSDORF. Are you from the missing Wintersdorf family which moved to Indiana? Many living family members remember visits to Indiana. My great grandmother was born Margaret SCHUETZ. I have relatives who were members of both St Joseph's in Wilmette and St Michael's in Chicago. They were SCHUETZ, BALMES, GEMSKIE family members, among others. Someone in my extended family married BORRE. And finally, I have ancestors who lived in Nonnweiler. I'm wondering if there is more than a coincidental connection between our families. If you would like to pursue this possible connection, please email me. In the meantime, I will refresh my mind on this branch of my family by reviewing my notebooks on them. Then I will be able to be more specific on the possible relationship. I hope to hear from you.
