    3. List Members, The Habsburg's Vienna Emigration Registry 15 May 1770 entry lists my gggggrandfather, Nicolaus Dolvik, as originating in Boringen, Lorraine. So here is my problem. I need a bit of help determining if the current Beringen, Luxembourg may have been part of Lorraine in 1770 and the city referenced in the emigration registry. Careful search of the Lorraine area maps of the time shows no Boringen or any city by that exact name and the LDS FHCs have no church registry information listed under that name either. However, because Lothringen extended into present day Luxembourg in 1770 and Lothringen would have encompassed Beringen within its 1770 boundaries, is "Beringen" the most likely candidate for Nicolaus Dolvik's research studies? Or am I missing a Boringen, Lothringen which may have disappeared since the 1770 registry entry?
