    3. Phil Pichotta: My GGGrandparents came also in 1847 with their 6 children - they were from Schmidt & Harscheidt, near Aachen/Monshau, Germany. They also left from Antwerp, Belgium - aboard the "Ontario", and arrived in NY on 21 Sept 1847. Ship Master: Aug. D. Holmes. 216 Passengers were on board, including 8 in the cabin. My family's name was LENNARTZ (Md to LAUSCHER) - they settled in South Milwaukee and later moved to Racine County. It is possible this is the same ship. The LENNARTZ name was changed to LEONARD in the late 1800's, and was my maiden name. This information was found in "NY Passenger List 1820-1897." Hope this information will help you.
