    2. Hello everyone, I received information from Jean Ensch about my grandparents, Michael Paulus Married to Anna Bodeving who emigration from Luxembourg. He quoted from the book by Father Rene FISCH; d'Geschicht vum Preitzerdaul. Vol 2, "a chapter on emigration. Wich says: "The oldest known passenger list, with inhabitants of the Preitzel Valley dates from 1886. On April 3 of that year 6 persons from Reimberg boarded the steamship Noordland leaving for New York. They were Jean BODEVING, father 58 years and his two daughters Anna (27) and Maria (24) the latter with her seven year old son Frederic. Over in America she married the father of the child Frederic KOST. (Does this mean that the parents of this child was un-married for seven years of the child's life? or do you think they were remarried in America?) To continue with the article: Also on board Jean KLEIN (24) son of the couple William KLEIN-RUPPERT and Michael PAULUS (29) son of the couple Peter PAULUS-WEILAND from Reimberg.) Now my question is: Does the PAULUS-WEILAND mean that Peter PAULUS was married to WEILAND? if so I do have a real question. My records (written by my grandmother) show that Peter (her father) was married to Susan therefore according to what is written in this book it must be Susan Weiland. However I know for a fact that my paternal great grandfather was also married to a Susan Weiland. They lived in Larochette (Fels) and Peter Paulus lived in Reimberg. Do you think it would be possible for both people to be married to a person with the same first and last name. What do you think???? Frank Ziegele fszzzz@aol.com
